With over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I’ve worked across a wide range of mental health care services, supporting people through various life challenges. I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek help, and I aim to offer a calm, compassionate environment where you can talk freely and without fear of judgement.

I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy. I work at each individual’s own pace, tailoring the approach to suit your unique needs and goals.

It is a genuine privilege to walk alongside my clients on their journey. Being a part of the positive and meaningful changes they make in their lives is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

I have practiced as a psychotherapist in a wide range of services within the NHS including Improving Access to Psychological Services (IAPT), NHS Primary Care in GP and Hospital settings, Counselling in Secondary Care (Community Mental Health Crisis Team), Universities (Nottingham Trent University), Colleges (West Nottinghamshire College of Further Education), Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP’s), Hospices (Beaumont House & John Eastwood) and leading mental health charities including MIND and The Nottingham Carers Federation.   I

For the last ten years I have worked primarily in private practice as a dual trained psychotherapist and I have worked with parents and families at a Neo-Natal Unit for over the last five years.

Some of the types of problems I can help with include Depression, Stress Reduction, Anxiety, Panic, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Phobias, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Post-natal Depression, Occupational Issues, Somatoform Disorders/Hypochondriasis, Trauma, Habit Reversal, Trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder), Relationship/Family problems, Bereavement, End of Life, Couple Counselling, Anger, Low Self-Esteem, Abuse – Emotional, Physical, Sexual, Relationships, Mediation and more complex issues.

I continue to take extensive continued professional development to remain up to date with professional body standards.

I hold a range of advanced qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy, including:

  • MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT)

  • Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

  • Accredited EMDR Europe Practitioner

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy Practitioner

  • Certificates in Clinical Supervision, including Low and High Intensity

  • Over 20 years of experience in both NHS and private settings

Please note: Insurance clients will need to provide an authorisation code and policy number at the first appointment. Some policies may require an excess payment.
