Tailored Services is proud to present a series of workshops by Soraya Morrabi. Soraya has over 16 years of counselling experience, and is offering a number of different workshops to provide training and advice on selected topics.

If you are interested in any of the below workshops, please use the booking form below to book your place on any number of dates. Each workshop is priced at £95 per attendee, per session.

Saturday 25th November 2017 // Self-harm
This course is for anyone who either knows someone who is self-harming and wants to understand more about it or for those working with self-harmers. It will give insights into the world of self-harm. The course covers: The cultural and ritualistic background; Signs; Reasons for self-harm, includes poetry and statements from self-harmers; Types of self-harm; The addiction model of self-harm; How to work with self-harmers.

Saturday 2nd December 2017 // Transactional Analysis
Have you ever wondered why we react to people in certain ways, why we find it difficult to communicate with others and what makes us behave the way we do? Then this course is for you. TA is a great counselling tool that can be used in education, corporate business, psychotherapy and for personal development. It is a great way of looking at why people respond to events in the way that they do and how to communicate effectively with others. The course covers: Ego States; Drivers; Injunctions; Strokes; Drama Triangle; Games; Scripts.

Saturday 27th January 2018 // Tools for Counselling
This is a course that is suitable for either qualified counsellors or those still in training that wish to add other ways of working to their tool kit. The course requires participation and for attendees to bring photographs and pictures of art work in. It gives a variety of different methods to enable you to work at a deeper depth with clients or to engage with clients that have difficulty engaging in standard therapeutic ways. Course covers: Working with – art, crystals, stones, buttons etc; Self-expression; Photo work; Using images; TATs; Sand tray.

This course is for those who wish to understand more about depression and how it affects people. The course covers: Signs and symptoms; Different types of depression; Effects; Causes; The brain and depression; Treatments.

This course is for those who wish to understand more about anxiety and how it affects people. The course

Saturday 7th April 2018 // Introduction to Gestalt
This is a great introductory course for those wishing to incorporate Gestalt into their work. Suitable for therapists, trainees, mental health workers, school workers etc. Course covers: History, founders and development; What Gestalt is; How it works; Main concepts and techniques.
